In order for the electrical, electronic and mechanical components of the IBB radiology device to comply with national and international standards, the minimum area prescribed by the manufacturer must be taken into consideration so that the radiology device and the ancillary equipment to be used with this device can be effectively operated during the installation phase.
The following conditions must be observed in the arrangement of the room to protect the radiation (radiation staff), the public and the patient from unnecessary radiation for the protection of the radio while the device is being installed and to bring the receivables below the accepted limit values:
If the control is in the console room, it must be at least 200cm distance from the x-ray tube and the personnel should be protected by a screen.
When the staff is behind the screen, it must be the protective feature of the screen to work without the use of protective equipment.
It is recommended that the lead plate to be used in the pallet is 2 mm thick, but the size of the room may vary depending on the workload, the distance between the control console and the x-ray tube and the geometry between the two.
If the screen is L-shaped, the long side is 100 cm, the short side is 50 cm, the angle between them is 900 - 1350 and the height is 200 cm; if the screen is to be in one piece, it must be at least 175 cm wide and 200 cm high.
There should be a sight window on the screen with a lead equivalent glass of at least 2 mm thickness (which may vary depending on the workload of the device and the position of the control console) so that the personnel can comfortably see the patient.
